How painful is it to have the banding procedure done for hemorrhoids?

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

I am aconsidering treatment options for hemorrhoids, and have heard of band or ligature treatment. If anyone has had this done, how painful is it. How about IRC treatment, infared coagulation therapy, does that hurt a lot?

I haven’t had any surgical treatment for my hemorrhoids. Instead, I embarked upon a high fiber diet, eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and whole grain bread. Chopped up prunes on a high fiber breakfast cereal is very helpful. And I drink 8-10 glasses of water per day. This helped a lot.

But what really got rid of them was this natural cure at
http://www.InstantHemorrhoidRelief.info which worked in 48 hours!

I had surgery to remove my hemorrhoids. when will the pain go away and how can i get more pain relief?

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

I had internal and external hemorrhoids. I had surgery on 9-1-06. I am having trouble w/using the rest room and the pain afterwords is excrusiating. please help.

I do hope that you are using a stool softener or mild laxative. Use a hemorrhoid ointment or cream for the pain. Pain medications usually are constipating and you don’t need that! You will feel much better in about a week. I hope this helps.

After having a baby, can a woman get rid of hemorrhoids obtained during the pregnancy?

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

After having a baby, can a woman get rid of hemorrhoids obtained during the pregnancy? I also had a Gastric Bypass, so elimination is occassionally a problem, but not for the most part.

My daughter had the surgery, and so did I.
She just had a baby in Sept, at the age of 35, her first. She was bothered by hemorrhoids big time, but they shrunk and disappeared after the baby.
Go to obesityhelp.com, and chat with other new moms that had the surgery.

I had gastric bypass surgery in April 2005. I started out at 268, now I’m 180 and holding, after 1 year and 7 months. These links will help you in many ways to make a decision if this is for you or not. I vote yes, because it made such a difference in my life. I was taking 8 pills a day, and after my surgery, I lost my diabetes. The way they do the surgery, takes your diabetes away. I no longer have to take glucophage, and I no longer have high Cholesterol or high blood pressure. I’m down to 2 pills a day. I went from a size 26-28 to a 16-18.
Most people struggle with paying for the surgery. Go to this site, it is a great support system for you, because it’s only people who have had gastric bypass or lap band. Every insurance program has been rated, and you’ll get tips on how to deal with your insurance company, as well as, surgery tips, food tips, and just support. http://www.obesityhelp.com/

Vitamins I take… you have to be very faithful about taking them after surgery, because you can become very sick if you don’t. There were recommended by my surgeon and nutritionist.

What is the treatment for hemorrhoids? ?

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Is it curable?
How do they treat it?
Does it come back?

Do you have to show a doctor to prove it or can you just get the medication without the embarrassment?

It is definitely curable as my wife had hemorrhoids before and we managed to cure it.

She used natural remedies, many that you can already do at home such as to drink more water and increase your fiber intakes to help soften your stool. Soaking yourself in warm water baths for about 15mins a day will also help. Other ointments that you can apply is coconut oil and using witch hazel does help alot.

It often comes back but with proper diets and posture, you should be able to keep it at bay.

I found alot of this information at this site http://www.bestnaturalhemorrhoidstreatment.com/ and one package that i personally recommend and had used for my wife is h miracle, which can also be found at the site mentioned. See if you can benefit from it as well.

Hope this information helps out.

Does anyone know how to get rid of painful external hemorrhoids?

Monday, November 16th, 2009

I am bed ridden with painful external hemorrhoids. I tried Preparation H but it hasn’t worked. Does anyone know how to get rid of these hemorroids without surgery?

A great way to relieve the pain of hemorrhoids is Horse Chestnut Seed Extract. You can get it at Vitacost.com or any place like that. It’s pretty cheap. And it works very well. It strengthens the veins around the anus so that they don’t hurt anymore.

The person below me is just selling Rue Care Oil. I’m not sure how well it works. I’m sure it doesn’t come in pill form. You have to apply it just like Preperation H.

Friday, November 13th, 2009

I have used preparation H and some other creams but this just helps me in the short term. I seem to get a flare of hemorrhoids every few weeks. Any suggestions as my doctor just days go to the chemist.

Healing hemorrhoids really does change your life Alex. I suffered for years which all started when I was pregnant. Like you I had flares of pain and symptoms. I used the creams and they help to make me feel better but in the end you just know that the pain and bleeding would return.

I search for answers like you are now and I stumbled upon an article in Wikipedia. If you look at the home treatment section you will see that there is something called combination home treatment. To heal hemorrhoids it is better to combine the effects of multiple treatments.
They suggested to visit this site: http://www.healinghemorrhoidsinfo.com

Its run by a women called Emma Marston that was cured after 20 years of fighting hemorrhoids. She gives information of cures and treatments and symptoms. Its a lot easier to read then the Wikipedia medical stuff at:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemorrhoid#Home_treatments

If you visit her articles on getting started today:

http://www.healinghemorrhoidsinfo.com/hemorrhoids-combination-home-treatment-start-now

She details these steps to helping yourself while your searching for the healing cure that works for you.

1. We need to always keep our diets rich in fiber so that we can minimize impact.
2. Drinking water everyday and throughout the day.
3. Use the squatting position, always.
4. Use natural supplements such as Horse-chestnut, Butchers Broom, Bioflavonoids and Hem-eez sparingly but often.
5. Use Ruscus aculeatus to strengthen the veins and Echinacea for reduce infection risk.
6. Take warm baths after every attack.
7. Only use glycerin soaps which do not contain perfumes or coloring agents.

Go bless and I wish you luck in your search.

what is the homoeopathic way to treat constipation and hemorrhoids?

Friday, November 13th, 2009

what herbs, vitamins anything natural other fiber can I take?

well a homeopath would say that you should find something that causes constipation and that thing will cure you of … um constipation. honestly. so you take a small bit of this constipation cause/cure and dilute it many many times until you have a vile with no constipation cure/cause left in it. pour this WATER onto some glucose tablets and wala!!!! you have a homeopathic cure. I’m sure you could do it yourself.

I’ll never convince believers not to take it but maybe I can ask AT LEAST FIND OUT WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT. at least hear the theory behind it please. or read my previous answer to find out what homeopaths ACTUALLY believe. no homeopath disagreed with it because it’s accurate

Hemorrhoids relief?

Friday, November 13th, 2009

Wow, this is embarassing.

how long will it last? what i can i do to make it feel better?

Hi There

Here are some ideas to heal the issue. Drink a gallon of water a day (I do) to start moving out excess waste (colon) and toxins that are in the blood. Also, be sure to do a colon cleanse to help resolve the issue.

Cause
Hemorrhoids are often the result of poor diet, constipation or a sluggish bowel, straining during bowel movements, chronic low-level dehydration, lack of exercise, and/or a sedentary lifestyle. Correcting these factors can be very helpful in preventing and eliminating hemorrhoids.

Caution: Bleeding during bowel movements needs to be checked to rule out other more serious conditions. If you experience blood in your stool, seek immediate medical attention.

————————————–…

Natural Cures

Aromatherapy: Cypress, juniper, frankincense, or niaouli.

Ayurveda: Drink 1/2 cup of aloe vera juice three times daily until symptoms clear. The Ayurvedic herbal compound triphala is also very effective for relieving hemorrhoid pain and for promoting the overall health of the gastrointestinal tract.

Diet: Eat an organic, whole foods diet that emphasizes high-fiber foods, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables (especially dark green, leafy vegetables, such as kale), grains such as brown rice and millet, and lean, organic meats and poultry. Also drink plenty of healthy beverages, such as herbal teas, fresh squeezed juice, and pure, filtered water.

Flower Essences: Rescue Remedy Cream® can be applied to external hemorrhoids to ease symptoms.

Herbs: The aptly named herb pilewort is a staple treatment for hemorrhoids in Europe because of its effectiveness in reducing hemorrhoid symptoms. Collinsonia is another highly effective herbal remedy for hemorrhoids. As a topical application, mix 10 ml of collinsonia tincture with 80 ml of distilled witch hazel and apply this combination after every bowel motion and as needed. Other useful herbs include bilberry, buckthorn bark, butcher`s broom, comfrey root, gotu kola, parsley, passionflower, and stone root.

Homeopathy: Aloe, Hamamelis, Nux vom., Berberis, Acidum fluor., and Thuja are helpful homeopathic remedies.

Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy is the application of water, ice, steam and hot and cold temperatures to maintain and restore health. Treatments include full body immersion, steam baths, saunas, sitz baths, colonic irrigation and the application of hot and/or cold compresses. Hydrotherapy is effective for treating a wide range of conditions and can easily be used in the home as part of a self-care program. Many Naturopathic Physicians, Physical Therapists and Day Spas use Hydrotherapy as part of treatment.
*Purified water is essential for any hydrotherapy treatment.

Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can help keep the bowels regular and soften stools: carrot, spinach, celery, and parsley; carrot and watercress; or beet juice.

Nutritional Supplementation: The following nutrients can help prevent and reverse hemorrhoids: vitamin C with bioflavonoids and rutin, vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin B complex, folic acid, essential fatty acids, magnesium, potassium, and zinc. Linseed oil (one teaspoon upon arising and at night) can also be used to help soften stools.

Topical Treatment: Apply a combination of zinc oxide, vitamin E, and aloe vera gel or olive oil to the affected area. Witch hazel applied topically can help shrink hemorrhoids, while calendula ointment can help relieve pain and itching.

Best of health to you

Has anyone tried Inared coagulation to treat hemorrhoids?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

What results did you experience? Is there a better treatment?

Did you mean “infrared” coagulation?

Infrared coagulation causes fewer pain and less possible serious complications than rubber band ligation. But rubber band ligation is more effective than infrared coagulation and has a lower rate of recurrence.

How long does it take for hemorrhoids to go away?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

This is kinda embarrassing, but I’m 16 years old and have irritable bowel syndrome. For the past couple days I’ve been kind of constipated and I think I got an external hemorrhoid from it. Will it go away or will i have it for life. Is there anything I can do to prevent them cause hemorrhoids run in my family?

Dear,

Both internal and external hemorrhoids are among the most common ailments to affect humans today. External hemorrhoids develop around the rim of the anus.

External hemorrhoids cause most of the symptoms associated with hemorrhoids (pain, burning, and itching) because the skin around them is very sensitive. If an external hemorrhoid becomes strangulated (cut off from blood supply), a clot can form in it and become an excruciatingly painful thrombosis hemorrhoid. Thrombosis of an external hemorrhoid causes an anal lump that is very painful and often requires medical attention

You often can prevent hemorrhoids by preventing constipation and straining to have bowel movements. The following diet and lifestyle changes may help you to soften the stool, and avoid the straining that can lead to hemorrhoids:

•Include more fiber in your diet – fresh fruits, leafy vegetables, and whole-grain breads and cereals are good sources of fiber.
•Drink adequate amounts of fluids – 6 to 8 glasses of water daily.
•Exercise regularly
•Do not strain or sit on the toilet for long periods of time. Straining for more than 5 minutes can be harmful. Try not to stay on the toilet any longer than necessary.
•Use a soothing wipe, such as baby wipes or witch hazel pads, to clean after each bowel movement and to ease the pain.
•If your main job activity is seated, always stand or walk during your breaks. Make it a point to stand and walk at least 5 minutes every hour and try to shift frequently in your chair to avoid direct rectal pressure.
•Avoid heavy lifting, which puts pressure on the anal opening
Hope you will enjoy your life in healthy. It is better to prevent before it become worse every day.
