and dose drinking water stop the Hemorrhoids from expanding, Because every time that I stop drinking water for a period of time the spasms in my tummy return even low my bowls are empty.

I smoke, I drink and recently have been suffering from enflamed hemorrhoids. They seem to only stop bothering me for days at a time and then *bam* they’re back. When reading on how to Treat Hemorrhoids I always see "stop smoking/stop drinking"…but I don’t see how either would effect Hemorrhoids…so how does smoking or drinking "cause" hemorrhoids?

use your common sense here.Nicotene and alcohol are poisons, poisons irritate many parts of your body, insides. Anyway alcohol and nicotene don’t specifically attack the anus area they jsut have a bad effect all over and thus irritate the hemorrhoids. Tomatoes and spicy food and chocolate can irritate sensitive membranes in our bodies so they irritate hemorrhoids too. sorry if my explanation is not as clear as i’d like it to be.

i am 18 years old and iam having external hemorrhoid ..its paining a lot though iam applying external cream help me for relief …!

You have to sit in a nice warm bath. You might want to drink lots of fluids for a while and try to eat things that don’t make you strain. Your Hemorrhoids are bothering you because you need to use stool softener. When your stool passes it scrapes along those hemorrhoids. Also make sure you switch up your toilet paper. You don’t want anything else to irritate you back there. I haven’t actually had these problems but if you use cream it’s a mess and it oozes out anyway. Also your going to make sure you have extra cushion when you go to sit down.

Im 39 weeks pregnant and I have a really large bad hemorrhoid it hurts extremely bad I tried putting prep H on it but it seems to have made it worse and I tried a Hot bath which didn’t help. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of it? It is a very large one so its got painful I go back to the doc tomorrow but any way I can get relief for now? Also will it go away after I have the baby?

Have you tried pushing it back into place while taking a really hot shower or during a really hot bath? I know it’s disgusting, but it was a suggestion I got during my last pregnancy and worked better than anything else.

Here’s how to do it.

1. Find it. (Not hard since it’s killing you.)
2. With very warm water soaking or running down the area, use your index or middle finger to hold it from the bottom.
3. Gently push up into your bum allowing it to move the way that it naturally goes.
4. Stop and check if you feel better. If not, keep pushing until you have to stop or it feels like it’s back to the right place.
5. When you are sure you are down, douce the area with cold water or a cold shower to relieve some of the swelling.
6. Sit on a ice pack or something else very cold like a bag of frozen peas.
7. When the swelling is better, put on the Prep H.
8. If it feels irritated, go back to the ice.

Every time that you have a bowel movement or feel it start to move out, hop back in the shower and push, push, push.

**Edit: And really hot showers and baths aren’t good for you in that they can raise your basal temperature. So, the idea is "get in, get it back up in place, get the cold water going, get out".
